    For the transportation of 20-foot containers, a second container (pair) is required. If you do not have cargo for a second 20-foot container, this possibility is excluded. Also, not all railway stations in China accept 20-foot containers for shipment, even in pairs. In particular, the Xi'an station does not accept this type of container for transportation, but the Urumqi station does.     We can arrange delivery of your cargo across China to any agreed railway station of departure. To make it quicker and clearer for you to calculate these additional costs for domestic transportation in China, using the Xi'an station as an example, you can follow the following formula: X (distance from the city where is your cargo located in China -> to Xi'an) * coefficient 1.2 = Y, the cost of local transportation in China. The calculation is valid for the delivery of a 40HC container with a loading weight of no more than 26 tons. For specific example, from Qingdao to Xi'an ~1200 km.1200 x 1.2 = $1440 - this is the cost of local transportation from Qingdao to Xi'an for a 40-foot loaded container. This cost must be added to international shipping, for example, Xi`an-Poti, to find out the cost of delivering your cargo on EXW terms from your supplier's factory to the customs railway terminal of the destination country.
  • WHAT ARE THE TERMS OF PAYMENT FOR YOUR SERVICES FOR THE DELIVERY OF GOODS FROM CHINA BY RAIL?

  • HOW CAN I OPTIMIZE MY EXPENSES, IF THE PREVIOUS CONDITIONS OF CARGO DELIVERY FOB TO THE SEA PORT, BUT NOT TO THE RAILWAY STATION?
    Let's consider an example. For instance, our train for export departs from Xi'an station, so your cargo will need to be delivered to Xi'an. However, previously you had agreed with your supplier to the delivery of your cargo under terms such as, for instance, FOB Qingdao port. We must say right away, almost always, your cargo won't be located at the port, and the specific seaport is indicated as the closest one to the factory/warehouse. Thus, it's always possible to try to change the delivery terms from FOB Qingdao to FOB Xi'an with your supplier. But even if the distance from the supplier's warehouse to the port is significantly less than to the railway station, at the very least, you have the right to request compensation for part of the internal transportation costs within China, since your supplier has included some amount of expenses for organization: "take an empty container at the port -> deliver it to their warehouse -> load the container -> return the loaded container to the port -> pay THC at the port of loading and other port charges". This is undoubtedly not just "100 dollars". Thus, you can always count on full or partial compensation for the internal transportation within China from your supplier's warehouse to the railway station, if previously you had cargo delivery terms of FOB "Seaport".

However, there are cases when the cars are small and the container can accommodate 4 cars, or, conversely, large ones, such as the Li L9 car, which can only accommodate two units in a container. It should be noted that if you need to load a car into a container, the cost of this service will be $200 per car. This additional service is not included in the cost of transportation.
